Role Overview:
The Recovery Support Specialist plays a crucial role in the daily lives of our clients, offering guidance, emotional support, and practical assistance. This candidate will have personal experience in recovery. The position requires a deep understanding of the recovery process and the challenges associated with it. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate, proactive individual who is committed to helping others achieve lasting recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide ongoing support to clients, helping them navigate the challenges of recovery.
• Monitor client progress and participate in team meetings to discuss and plan further treatment.
• Contribute to the maintenance, clean up and orderly operations of the facility.
• Provide front desk coverage of the facility.
• Facilitate group sessions, employing empathy and effective communication techniques.
• Assist with client intake processes, including documentation and initial assessments.
• Offer resources and support to clients for dealing with daily stressors and triggers.
• Facilitate communication between clients, families, and treatment staff.
• Organize and oversee group activities that promote recovery and community.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all legal and ethical requirements.

Qualifications:

• Experience in a recovery support role or personal experience in recovery highly valued.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of recovery support principles and practices.
• Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and care.
• High school diploma required; further education in social work, psychology, or related field preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour
